CONCEPT
Apartment design concept for a young couple seeking a home with a sense of privacy specific for a private house. Situated on a quiet green street in an early 20th-century building, the apartment underwent a 2000s renovation, losing its original ceiling height and woodwork.

Our goal was to restore its traditional charm while making it functional and modern.

We eliminated built-in furniture, reimagining the layout for better intuitiveness. Bringing back the classic idea of separate doors between the kitchen and living room, evokes the architectural style of older residences. Modern windows were replaced with new wooden ones, maintaining the original facade's proportions. Interior doors were raised to 2.5m, featuring classic designs combined with modern hidden doors in bathrooms.Traditional large cornices and baseboards, along with chevron parket flooring, were incorporated to reproduce the building's original architecture.
The furniture design combines traditional wood with vibrant textile colors, meeting the clients' desire for uniqueness and coziness. The color-patterned tiles, coupled with furniture from iconic brands like Vitra, HAY, and &tradition, draw inspiration from the aesthetics of European apartments from the last century.
The project is currently in progress, and we're delighted to witness the space transforming and our ideas coming to life. ;)
